The aim of Travel Intelligence unit is to provide solutions (Services & Products) which revolutionize the travel industry and enable customers, in particular Airlines and Travel agencies, to make their business more profitable by leveraging Big Data. Amadeus is strongly committed to grow this new unit.
As part of the TI offer, the unit is developing and launching a large portfolio of products (20 and growing), targeting hundreds of customers and thousands of users. To scale and streamline the Product & Services organization, and to foster consistency from customer point of view across the whole Portfolio, the mission of the Transversal components Product manager is to:
Define the strategy and roadmap for transversal products and components,
Ensure they can be integrated within all TIU products and services,
Provide expertize and support TIU Product and Solution managers community with that respect
For common components such as TI Portal and Report composer that are embedded in all TIU products:
Study the BI marketplace, analyse trends, needs and requirements, and competitive landscape.
Determine how the marketplace and Amadeus capabilities align to deliver a road map of innovative solutions and identify critical gaps.
Study potential external solutions and partnerships
Collect and prioritize business needs/requirements covering key market needs. Write HL Statement of Requirements and develop product plans. Prepare approval of new product releases (Scope, business case, timeline, organization, architecture).
Ensure integration within other Product managers roadmaps
Kick off projects with Development counterparts. Monitor the development and ensure it matches with plans and budget. Validate proposed specifications coming from dev. Manage the product functionality from requirements, to user acceptance. Manage project change proposals. Ensure the monitoring of budget execution and prepare corrective actions where needed.
Make sure the components can be integrated within the rest of TIU products suite
Manage the handover to operational teams (e.g. implementation, administration...) when needed
Support the other Product managers in the integration within the rest of TIU products suite
Work with the "solution Bid team" and Sales and Pre-Sales in the support of customer conversions and/or RFPs as needed by:
Analysing Gaps between current product release and road map vs customer’s requirements
Adjusting the road map where relevant
Or supporting the service team to fill the gap by an ad-hoc development (that will not be part of the product)
Committing the product organization to the success of the project
Create and manage customers’ community around transversal components
Collect end-user feedback on transversal components and use it to adapt the strategy if necessary
University degree (or equivalent) in IT Engineering or business
Relevant work experience
Strong experience in BI, within integrator, editor or major user
Experience in users management and ad-hoc reporting
Enterprise Architecture experience a plus
Experience in product management a plus
Knowledge of Amadeus systems a plus
A good understanding of current Big Data technologies and trends
Expertise in BI products
Good analytical and synthesis skill
Knowledge of major analytical tools
Good understanding of Big Data technology
Good understanding of different database technology
