General Objectives of centralised CI function in WorldlineCI exists to support decision making by providing actionable insights with a clear focus on strengthening competitive advantage. This is done by continually monitoring and analysing the environment external to Worldline. Within Worldline this organised as a hybrid function, so both centralised and decentralised. The centralised function has a number of key responsibilities which include:To proactively inform management of key developments on benchmark competitors and any possible impact on Worldline with particular focus on key framework topics. To inform on new and niche players – how they engage - business models etc. Primary geographical focus - EuropeAd-hoc support for key strategic initiatives: top management request, M&A, AR, strategic deals.Assessing key market indicators as appropriate.To support decentralised activities by providing best practice methodologies and training.Act as trusted advisor and challenger to CI stakeholders – help define KITs, methodology, contribute with skill set, and challenge views to bring end-to-end perspective.Retain overall view of decentralised CI activities.Promoting a culture of information networking across the organisation to optimise the CI database - continually working towards the enhancement of CI work within the organisationAtos Worldline – Competitive Intelligence Analyst,The Competitive Intelligence Analyst will be part of the Strategic Development Team of Worldline and will report directly to the Head of Competitive Intelligence.Main duties and responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to support the CI function by undertaking desk-based research and analysis work using a variety of public domain and subscription-based resources.The work will comprise both routine monitoring and updating of centrally used databases and project-based requests. Typical examples of deliverables include:Corporate profiles of competitors and other vendors in the competitive landscapeAnalysis of key performance indicators (financial ratios, EBDITA, growth indicators etc)Key market indicators – maintaining robust databases.Ad-hoc research on key competitive intelligence or business development projects.The collation, verification and analysis of market forecast data.Support for benchmarking and gap analysisTrends analysisProactively informing key stakeholders of newly available reports and dealing with download requests from stakeholders.In addition, as an integral team member, there will be some further intra-team functions that are outside the scope of CI and therefore a flexible approach to support the overall objectives of the Strategy Team is expected.Skill setKey requirements for this position:Strong analytical skills from corporate to product functionality levelKnowledge of strategic, tactical and operational planning techniques.Experience in specialist techniques and methods used in CI regarding the collection, analysis and presentation of information (SWOT, Porter 5 forces, profiling, financial performance analysis)Knowledge of secondary and primary research techniquesEnglish is essential as the main working languageExperience of compiling, writing and editing reportsExperience of working with Microsoft tools (particularly excel, functions, pivot tables etc))Advantageous but not essentialknowledge of electronic payments business, financial technology etc., including markets and competitors
