Description du poste
The Risk Officer contributes to the strategic direction of the Bank, working on projects to improve data quality and procedures to ensure that the Bank complies with Best Banking Practices.
You will interact with colleagues both in Risk Management, and in other Directorates/Departments across the Bank and at the EIF.
Provide input into the elaboration of the Risk Management Directorate’s strategy and policies by suggesting goals and priorities in order to ensure that the overall policies reflect practical operational needs.
Drive the implementation of new initiatives and key area processes, notably in the area of Group risk reporting, leading and/or providing project management support and coordination in order to improve data quality and create better insights through dashboards.
Assist the management of relations with EIB Governing Bodies and EIF in the area of prudential regulation, risk reporting and best banking practices, coordinating activities of the Regulatory Department (REG)
Participate in and lead projects and/or working groups of horizontal nature, establish and maintain relationships with internal clients, of all levels, in the Bank in order to ensure that appropriate internal co-operation and communication is maintained.
Support the Director of REG in creating an enabling environment in the Department, and ensuring an effective cooperation among team members and rest of Bank staff, as well as dissemination and cross-fertilisation of information within the Department and in between the divisions by formal and informal meetings, trainings and other learning activities.
Propose streamlining of Department procedures in order to increase efficiency of the internal workflows.
Prepare status updates and other relevant reports regarding the implementation of various key area processes under REG’s responsibility.
Master’s degree in Finance/Economics/International Relations
At least 3 years’ experience in the area of risk management, data governance or strategy development.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong project and change management skills
Solid understanding of aspects of risk management frameworks, policies and procedures would be an advantage
Very good understanding of the EIB’s mission, policies, procedures, organization and activities.
Fluent in English or French and a solid understanding of the other. Knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.
